The Derby Public Schools Technology Department is working diligently to implement and utilize tools that will allow us to provide more support options. This page contains answers to a few questions you may have at this time. To read details, simply click on a question or topic and more information will expand below it. The Derby Public Schools Technology Department will be open from July 13-17 to collect district devices that are broken, damaged, or otherwise not working. The drop-off location will be at 222 E. Madison in Derby from 8:30AM-4:00PM. The devices will be returned to the student's building at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year. Due to limited supplies, there will be no loaner devices checked out during this time. If you are leaving the district, please call (316) 788-8591 or click the "Ask for Help" button below to make arrangements to check in your student's device.

How can a student or guardian get support from the Technology Department?
The Technology Department has asked for families and students to request support directly from the Technology team by visiting the Technology Website, or clicking the 'Ask for Help' button below.

My student's device is having issues, what do we do?
The Technology team recommends rebooting the student device, as this solves many common issues. Teachers are also able to assist students with questions. The Technology team has shared guidance and remote support information HERE.
My student's device is broken, how do I get it fixed?

What is Skyward and how do I use it?
Skyward is a student information system that allows for posting of student grades and management of their information. From Skyward, guardians can access information like schedules, grades, attendance and more. Help with login and specific questions can be answered by your student's school. What is Canvas and how do I use it?
