English Language Learners
The English Language Learner program is proud to support students of other languages from ages 3- 21. Each Derby English Language Learner receives a Indiviual Learning Plan. This Individual Learning Plan helps guide instruction ensuring the student is receiving the highest quality of support. Our current delivery model of support is Inclusion. Inclusion support is when the ELL teacher or para professional goes into the student's current regular education to help facilitate the learning of the English language. Many buildings are also able to offer a multi-tiered support system for the English Language Learners.

After you have a passing score on the Praxis assessment, you will need the following form to add ESOL to you teaching license. |
