Certified Employees
Base salary (no experience, no graduate hours) is currently over $36,600.  Our compact salary schedule allows for step increases and additional compensation for professional development.  View the 2009-10 Certified Salary Schedule. New Certified employees are placed on the salary schedule according to experience and education (see our Master Contract Handbook).

Certified Employees receive:
  • A single HMO district-paid medical insurance plan (or other plans to choose from), with add-on options for family members
  • A $10,000 group term life and accidental death insurance, with options to increase coverage
  • Voluntary Dependent Care and Medical Flex Spending Accounts
  • An annual contribution by the district to a "tax sheltered" annuity plan on the behalf of each qualifying professional educator (see the Master Contract Handbook)
  • A single Platinum Derby Recreation Center membership for the employee only.  Family members can be added for an additional fee.
  • Stipends of $850 per person will be paid on a prorated bases to professional educators who are assigned to school wide Title I schools.

Classified Employees
Hourly pay is based upon the Range of the position and the applicable experience a candidate is bringing to that position.  View the Classified Salary Range List.  Hourly wages are only determined for applicants who have been interviewed.  Please do not call asking what your hourly wage would be for any given position.  View the 2010-2011 Classified Handbook for more information.

Classified Employee Benefits:

  • A stipend of $170 will be given to individuals who work in our Title I buildings, Cooper Elementary and Oaklawn Elementary.  Less than full-time employees will receive a pro-rated amount.  Employees will only qualify for this stipend if they have completed a full year as of the end of school.
